FLOODBLOC BAG™
“A market-ready emergency/first or rapid response flood mitigation product”
Floodbloc bag™ has been created to address the needs of first or rapid response situations. Floodbloc bag™ can be used in the home when flooding occurs, in the food and agricultural industries, hospital arenas, construction sites, etc. Most appropriately in emergency and first response calls. When immersed in water Floodbloc bag™ absorbs 5 gallons or 40 lbs. of water in less than 3 minutes. The bag inflates in approximately 2 ½ minutes and can be easily stacked into position by one or two persons. The bag’s benefits are further enhanced by its ability to release the absorbed water once the product is removed from or no longer exposed to the water source. While the bag is still in contact with the water, it retains the water indefinitely. Once the water has receded or the Floodbloc bag™ is separated from the water source, the bag returns to its original size of 15 x 24 and weight of 9/10 of a pound. The time required for the dehydration process of the bag is approximately 9 to 14 days dependent upon the weather conditions. Given proper handling, the bag can then be reused up to four times. It is further significant to note that all the materials which make up the Floodbloc bag™ are natural and untreated chemically. These materials and the resultant product are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
